EMERGENCY NEED FOR AB (-) BLOOD TYPE IN VARNA

Two young men have been seriously injured when a gas-filling station exploded near the town of Aheloy. They have been taken to the Marine Hospital in Varna with 25% burns. Emergency blood transfusions are required for their recovery. Atanas Minkov, 28 has the rare AB (-) blood type and donors of this blood type are urgently needed! The Bulgarian Organization of Voluntary Blood Donation asks everyone with that blood type to donate blood in the Transfusion Hematology Center in Varna, or the respective blood centers in Dobrich, Shumen, Ruse, Targovishte or Razgrad. We ask all donors to state specifically that the blood they donate is for Atanas Minkov from Pomorie, who is being treated in the Marine Hospital in Varna.
