Bulgarian organization of voluntary blood donation officially supports the National competition for journalists under the motto “Blood donation – a gift of Life!”, organized by the Ministry of Health and the National Center of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.

The competition is open to journalists, photographers and cameramen. The candidate’s materials have to be publications in printed or on-line editions or reportages broadcasted in electronic media in 2010 and 2011.

The deadline for participation is March 15^th 2011.

Together with the competition, a special blood donation station for journalists will be set up in the National Center of Hematology and Blood Transfusion on the 15^th of March,from 9:00 until 14:00.Bulgarian organization of voluntary blood donation appeals to every responsible journalist to participate not only by covering the event, but also by taking part in the campaign.

Let us change the public perception towards the voluntary blood donation and, through revealing the necessity and providing the safety, to contribute together for the development of a more responsible civil society.

Disclosure of the results and the winners awarding will be held on the 22^nd of March 2011.
